Kimberly Wyatt Zakti Activewear womenswear and Kidswear Collection
Dancer and choreographer Kimberly Wyatt has collaborated with Zakti Activewear to design a 42 piece collection. Kimberly developed the range for women and girls to encourage and empower them to ‘Be You, Be Fearless, Be Authentic!’ inspired by her love of dance, fitness and well-being.
Kimberly said:
“I love being active and for me fitness is about feeling amazing and achieving a healthy balance of mind, body and soul. Dancing has always been part of my life and my daily fitness routine and helps me feel positive so what we wear is part of that with design, fit and functionality being key. The collection of leggings, tops, jackets and accessories caters for women in sizes 4 to 18. The SS17 range for women features bold colours, graphic prints, intricate straps plus mesh details which add stretch and breathability. The collection has all the technical aspects for a perfect fit and comfortable workout with quick wicking and flat lock seams.
The kidswear collection draws on her experience as a dancer, creating a brand new range with leggings, tops, jackets and accessories for girls from age 5 to 13 years old with prices starting at £18 and each style featuring technical aspects like quick wicking to keep children cool when they are being active.
The statement Marble and Distorted Ink prints create the hero pieces in the range with High Waisted Mesh Printy Leggings £40 which sculpt and define, creating a lean silhouette with flattering mesh panels on the legs breaking up the vibrant pattern. The Mix it up Bomber Jacket £40 also features the classic black and white Marble Print and the purple and pink Distorted Ink print which a contrasting black edging, cuffs and collar to add a slimming effect to the jacket. The Boogie Down Sports Bra £25 is the perfect piece to complete the look with the same key prints or try the Frolic Plunge Sports Bra £25 in classic Black or Reflecting Pond Blue for those who a prefer a block colour. The Mesh Bomber Jacket £40 in Black is the perfect piece to wear to and from your workout and is a glamorous, sheer cover-up which can take you from the gym to lunch.
Bodysuits are key to Kimberly’s dance-inspired look in classic Black, Grape Purple and Reflecting Pond Blue shades, straps back details and mesh panels to wear in the studio. Echoing the ‘Flashdance’ look, Kimberly has added slouchy knits with cut out shoulders and light weight cover-ups like the Studio Break Knit Top £30 or the Time to Burn Hoodie £25 to create a slouchy, relaxed look and accessorise for your dance class with activewear socks with toe grips.
The range is vibrant with Bright Blue and Bright Rose graphic dominating the collection featuring on hero pieces including Move to the Beat Leggings, matching Twist & Turn Crop Tops, the cute Melody Shorts and Hats which provide protection from the sun. Every piece in the collection features a delicate heart shape which signifies Kimberly’s love of life and mirrors the mantra she lives by.
Kimberly Wyatt for Zakti Activewear has mini-me details so children can copy their mum’s look with mesh panels in the leggings and strappy back details. Bodysuits are key to Kimberly’s dance-inspired look with Leotards in pops of bright colour of Blue, Purple and Aqua for kids to wear in the studio. Finish off with light weight cover-ups like the Mellow Hooded Vest for a pop of colour and accessorise for your dance class with activewear socks.
